Michaela O'Brien

Michaela O'Brien is currently an Assistant Planner for the City of San Rafael, a role held since February 2021, where responsibilities include developing and maintaining the City’s General Plan and administering the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. Prior experience includes serving as a Permit Technician and as a General Planning/Building Intern while studying at Sonoma State University, where Michaela earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geography, and Management. Additional roles include Philanthropy Vice President for the Alpha Xi Delta sorority, data entry and analysis intern at Strategic Energizes Innovation, an entry carpenter at Tom Shores Construction, an Associated Teacher at WonderLab, and a part-time sales associate at PACSUN.
