Nancy Tran

Nancy Tran, AICP, serves as a Senior Planner for the City of Santa Ana since January 2024, with previous experience in similar roles at the City of Lafayette, California, and the City and County of San Francisco. Tran has extensive planning experience, including positions as a Senior Planner and Planning Analyst at the City of Worcester and the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission, respectively. A background as a Research Associate with the Vietnam Green Building Council involved researching sustainable development in the construction industry. While at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Tran contributed to significant federal funding initiatives and program coordination. An early planning internship with the City of Los Angeles focused on land use evaluation and public information accessibility. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from UCLA and a Bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Development from the University of California, Davis.
