Jeanette Gant is an experienced professional in parks, recreation, and community services, currently serving as the Director of Parks, Recreation & Community Services for the City of Carpinteria since May 2024. With a solid background in community recreation management and aquatics, Jeanette has held key roles such as Community Recreation Manager and Aquatics Program Manager at the City of Santa Monica, as well as Aquatics Recreation Supervisor at the City of El Segundo. Jeanette's career includes significant positions at the City of Carlsbad and the City of Coronado, where responsibilities included coordinating aquatics programs, special events, and client interactions. Jeanette began in the field with the Mission Valley YMCA and the City of El Segundo, focusing on swim instruction and safety. Jeanette holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Recreation and Tourism Studies and a Master of Science in Public Administration, both from San Diego State University.
