Laura Koval

Laura Koval is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public service and management. Currently serving as a City Council Member and Vice Mayor for the City of Santee since December 2018, Koval previously worked as the Director of Park and Recreation for the Padre Dam Municipal Water District from January 2012 to June 2023, overseeing the award-winning Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve. Koval also led customer service initiatives as a Customer Service Manager and contributed to consulting projects with LSE Consulting Ltd. and Koval Consulting. Additionally, Koval spent over 26 years with the San Diego Padres, where roles included Director of Ticket Services & Fan Loyalty, implementing innovative systems to enhance customer retention. Earlier career experiences include serving as the Director of the Santee Branch for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and a strong academic background with a BA in Sociology and History from San Diego State University.
