Nathan Thomson CPA, CA, CIA, CFE, CRMA serves as the City Auditor for the City of Saskatoon since October 2024. Prior to this position, Nathan was the inaugural Internal Auditor at Sunrise Foods International, where responsibilities included establishing and managing the internal audit function while reporting directly to the Risk & Audit Committee and CEO. Nathan’s extensive experience at Nutrien spanned from February 2008 to June 2022, culminating as Sr. Manager of Internal Audit for Corporate, Nitrogen, Phosphate & Potash (CNPK), and included leadership roles in various auditing capacities. Earlier professional experience includes a managerial role in Enterprise Risk Services at Deloitte Canada and an Audit Manager position with the Provincial Auditor of Saskatchewan. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan, completed in 2002.
