Matthew Mandich

Matthew Mandich, PhD, currently serves as Senior City Planner for the City of Sausalito since October 2022, having progressed through various planning roles including Associate City Planner and Assistant City Planner. Prior experience includes serving as Legislative Aide for District 6 under Supervisor Matt Haney in San Francisco and as a Student Fellow in the same district. Matthew has held academic positions as Field School Director at the ISAR International Society for the Archeology, Art and Architecture of Rome and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Leicester, where a PhD was attained along with a Master's degree in the same field. Additionally, Matthew has a background in archaeology with practical experience at California State Parks. Academic qualifications extend from a Bachelor's degree in Classical, Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies and Archaeology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
