Sam Taylor

Sam Taylor is an experienced traffic engineer currently serving as the Principal Traffic Engineer for the City of Scottsdale since July 2022, having previously held the position of Senior Traffic Engineer at the same organization from May 2018 to July 2021. Prior to this role, Sam worked as a Traffic Engineer at Y2K Engineering, LLC from August 2021 to July 2022 and began a career in traffic engineering at the City of Scottsdale. Sam's academic background includes a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Northern Arizona University, along with experience as a Graduate Research Assistant focused on analyzing crash data and researching traffic systems. Additional roles include leadership positions in the Graduate Student Government and various management and customer service roles during time at Northern Arizona University.
