William King

William King has extensive work experience in various roles within the education sector. William started their career as an Industrial Technology Teacher at West Scranton HS in 1986 and later served as Assistant Principal at Scranton High School. William then became the Principal at South Scranton Intermediate School before moving on to be the Principal at West Scranton HS. William also worked as a superintendent in the Scranton School District and later in the Lakeland School District. Additionally, they held the position of Jr/Sr High School Principal at Montrose Area Junior/Senior High School before transitioning to a role as a Senior Business Consultant at SitelogIQ East in 2020. Currently, William is serving in the City of Scranton as City Councilman and Scranton City Council President since 2022.

William King has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, with a field of study in Technology Teacher Education/Industrial Arts Teacher Education, which they obtained from Millersville University of Pennsylvania from 1981 to 1985. William then pursued a Master of Science degree in Secondary School Administration, specializing in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, at the University of Scranton from 1988 to 1993. Additionally, they earned a Letter of Eligibility in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Temple University in the year 2000.
