City of Shafter
Joel Perez is an experienced educator currently serving as a Science Teacher at the City of Shafter's Learning Center since July 2017, where various science courses are taught through engaging projects and activities. In addition to teaching, Joel also tutors and mentors high school students in all subjects, providing guidance on standardized tests relevant for college admissions. Earlier experience includes serving as a Geology Assistant Instructor at Cragmont Elementary School, where lesson plans were developed and classes were taught in collaboration with a 4th grade science teacher. Joel holds a degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science, and Earth Science from the University of California, Berkeley, earned between 2011 and 2016.
