Angee Shaker M.ed.

Angee Shaker M.Ed., OhioCED, currently serves as the Director of Economic Development for the City of Solon since September 2018, where responsibilities include oversight of economic growth initiatives and leading the city's branding efforts. Prior to this role, Angee held significant positions within educational institutions, including Executive Director of Strategic Communications & Engagement for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, where strategic communications were developed to support urban school models, and Director of Communications and Community Engagement for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District. Angee's career also includes experience as V.P. of Education and Workforce Development at the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber, focusing on workforce initiatives, and as a news anchor and education reporter at WYTV. Angee Shaker holds a Master's degree in Education Administration from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of Akron.
