Ben Waldrip

Ben Waldrip currently serves as the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds for the City of Somerville since March 2021, overseeing the maintenance and operations of various city facilities. Additionally, as Director of Operations for the City of Somerville Parks and Recreation since May 2019, Ben manages recreation facilities and administers budgetary allocations while implementing improvements. With extensive experience in the agricultural sector as an Assistant Manager at Green Acre Farms, Ben has successfully increased profits and introduced environmentally friendly irrigation practices. Previous roles include Guest Services at Troon, Outside Sales Representative at Crowley's Concepts, and First Baseman with the Gateway Grizzlies and Colorado Rockies. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Jacksonville State University and has a background in air quality control and electrical work.
