Eri Furusawa

Eri Furusawa currently serves as the Commissioner for the Commission on Climate Change and Energy Use at the City of Somerville since June 2022. Prior to this role, Eri held various positions at HR&A Advisors from November 2018, including Director, Senior Analyst, and Analyst Fellow. Eri's experience includes a role as Assistant Urban Designer at the NYC Department of City Planning for a brief period in 2018, as well as internships with Nikken Sekkei, Kei Kaihoh Architects, Maki and Associates, and AIESEC. Eri's academic background includes a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation and a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from The University of Tokyo.
