Kimberly Burnette

Kimberly Burnette, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Kimberly is currently serving as the Deputy Director of Human Resources at the City of South Bend, starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Commercial Vehicle Group from 2004 to 2022, holding roles as the Regional Human Resources Manager from June 2011 to July 2022, and as the Human Resources Manager from March 2004 to June 2011. Additionally, Kimberly served as a Board Member at the Northern Indiana Human Resources Management Association from 2005 to 2010. Kimberly started their career as the Human Resources Manager at Electro-Transfer Systems, Inc. in 1998, where they worked until 2004.

Kimberly Burnette, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Indiana State University between 1989 and 1994. Kimberly also obtained additional certifications including the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in February 2020 and the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in May 2019.
