Director Of Community And Economic Development at City of Spokane

Steve MacDonald has extensive work experience in various roles within city government. From 1994 to 1997, they served as the Director of L.A.'s Business Team in the Mayor's Office. Following this, they worked as the Bureau Chief in the Department of Building and Safety for the City of Los Angeles from 1997 to 2003. In 2003, they became the Neighborhood Service Manager for Mayor Hahn's office, representing the San Fernando Valley. From 2004 to 2008, they held the position of President at FilmL.A. (EIDC). Currently, since September 2021, they are serving as the Director of Community and Economic Development for the City of Spokane.

Steve MacDonald earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from San Diego State University between 1981 and 1985. Subsequently, they pursued further education and completed an MBA program at Pepperdine University from 1996 to 1999, specializing in Business.
