Samantha Chartier

Samantha Chartier is the Environmental Health Director for the City of Springfield, Massachusetts, overseeing a team of inspectors and managing health programs related to food safety and public health. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Environmental Health Director and Environmental Health Inspector, where responsibilities encompassed inspections, policy development, and staff training. Samantha also served as a COVID-19 Case Investigator and Contact Tracer, providing guidance during the pandemic. Earlier experience includes caregiving, behavioral therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and various health-related internships. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Global Studies and has participated in study abroad programs at both The American College of Greece and California State University, Monterey Bay.
