Brandon Jenson

Brandon Jenson, AICP, currently serves as Zone 3 City Councilman for the City of Springfield, Missouri, starting in April 2023. Since August 2021, Brandon has held the position of CDBG Program Manager and previously served as Chief Community Engagement and Planning Officer at the Missouri Department of Economic Development. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate Planner and Planner at the Southwest Missouri Council of Governments from November 2018 to July 2021, and as Planner I at Adams County Government from January 2018 to November 2018. Brandon's career began with an Administrative Assistant position at the Colorado Department of Labor Division of Oil & Public Safety in 2017, and an internship at the Southwest Missouri Council of Governments from January 2016 to May 2017. Brandon also worked as a Writing Editor at Missouri State University from August 2013 to March 2016, and as a Researcher for the District of Columbia Office of Planning in late 2015. Brandon holds a Bachelor's Degree in City, Urban, Community, and Regional Planning from Missouri State University, obtained in 2017.
