Laurie Davis

Laurie Davis has extensive experience in education and outreach, currently serving as the Education Outreach Coordinator at the City of Springfield's Department of Environmental Services and as an Education Outreach Specialist for the City of Springfield, Missouri, since January 2016. Prior to this role, Laurie held the position of Education Director at the Discovery Center of Springfield from August 2004 to November 2015. Laurie's teaching career spans from July 1986 to June 2004 as a classroom teacher in the Apple Valley Unified School District, covering grades 3 and 4, remedial reading, and high school language arts. Additionally, Laurie worked with the Bureau of Education and Research from January 1992 to December 2002, presenting seminars for third and fourth-grade educators. Laurie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from California State University, Northridge, and a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis on reading from California State University-San Bernardino.
