Carleigh West has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data management, currently serving as the Spatial Data and Applications Team Lead at the City of St. Albert since September 2014, where previous roles included Senior GIS Data Architect and GIS Analyst. Carleigh also served as Deputy Mayor and Municipal Councillor for the Summer Village of Nakamun Park from July 2017 to July 2021. Prior to these positions, experience includes roles as GIS Analyst at Strathcona County and GIS/GPS Technician at the County of Athabasca. Carleigh began a GIS career as a GIS Technologist with the Government of Alberta and as a GIS Technician Intern at the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Data Modeling/Warehousing and Database Administration from NAIT and post-graduate and diploma certificates in GIS Applications and Fish and Wildlife Technician from Sault College.
