Brian York

Brian York currently serves as the Director of Economic Development and Government Relations for the City of St. Catharines, where employment commenced in October 2006. Throughout the career, Brian has undertaken various roles in economic development, including Manager of Economic Development & Tourism Services and Economic Development Officer. In addition, Brian holds the position of Vice Chair on the Board of Venture Niagara Community Futures Development Corporation, which supports small and medium-sized businesses, and is a board member for both Innovate Niagara and the Tourism Partnership of Niagara. Brian's past affiliations include roles such as Regional Advisory Committee Member for the Southern Ontario Fund for Investment in Innovation, Loan Review Committee Member for Futurpreneur Canada, and various advisory positions with organizations focused on manufacturing innovation and industry support. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Windsor and completion of the Economic Development Program at the University of Waterloo.
