Michael Lane

Michael Lane is an experienced communications professional with extensive expertise in public relations, social media, and crisis management. Currently serving as Communications Manager for the City of Steamboat Springs since December 2016 and Principal at Lane Communications, LLC since September 2016, Michael previously held the role of Public Relations Director at Steamboat Resort from June 1995 to May 2016. In this capacity, responsibilities included overseeing all communication strategies for one of North America's leading ski resorts, acting as the primary spokesperson, and managing extensive domestic and international PR campaigns. Earlier, as Public Relations Manager for Colorado Ski Country USA, Michael represented the $2.5 billion Colorado ski industry, coordinating communications and publicity efforts among 25 member resorts. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola University Maryland.
