Nick Makie

Nick Makie has a solid work experience in finance and accounting. Nick started their career as an Audit Intern at Doeren Mayhew in 2007. Nick then worked as a Debtor Analyst at Crestmark Bank from September 2007 to August 2008. After that, they joined Plante Moran as an Auditor, where they worked from August 2008 to April 2014. Currently, Nick is employed at the City of Sterling Heights, where they initially served as the Controller from April 2014 to May 2022. Nick was then promoted to Assistant Finance and Budget Director in January 2022, a role they currently hold.

Nick Makie completed their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Walsh College from 2004 to 2007. Nick then pursued their MBA at Walsh College from 2007 to 2008. Nick has also obtained the CPA certification, but no further information regarding the institution or year of attainment is available.
