Susan Wild

Susan Wild has a diverse range of work experience. Susan began their career in 1991 as a volunteer for the Sumter Chamber of Commerce. In 1992, they became the General Manager for Cablevantage Television Marketing, where they managed operations and sales staff and wrote and produced television commercials. In 2002, Susan joined the City of Sumter as the Communications Director, overseeing the Sumter Opera House, Tourism Department, and Festivals and Events. Over the years, their responsibilities expanded to include the management of the Palmetto Tennis Center, City of Sumter Aquatics Center, and Park Patrol. In 2012, they were promoted to Recreation Programs and Facilities Director, where they managed the city's recreation departments and was responsible for programming, facilities development, and strategic planning. As of 2023, they hold the role of Director of Partnerships, where their duties include marketing, advertising, public relations, city photography, and special projects.
