Matt Watson

Matt Watson is an accomplished financial services manager with extensive experience in public and higher education sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Financial Services Manager for the City of Tallahassee since September 2021, Matt oversees a diverse team managing budgeting, accounting, and administrative functions within underground utilities and public infrastructure. Prior experience includes significant leadership roles at Florida State University, where Matt was the Associate Director of Oglesby Union, managing programming and human resources for over 200 employees, and as the Assistant Director supervising event management across multiple university facilities. Earlier roles include Guest Services & Operations Manager at the Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee and Theater Manager at Cinemark, showcasing a strong foundation in operations and guest services. Matt holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from Florida State University.
