Jay Pateakos

Jay Pateakos is an experienced professional with a background in business development, economic development, writing, and journalism. Jay worked as the Executive Director for the Taunton Office of Economic and Community Development, as well as the Vice President for Business Development at MassDevelopment. Before that, they served as the Executive Director for the Sandwich Chamber of Commerce and worked as a freelance writer for Southcoast Insider Magazine, and a freelance reporter for Sentinel Newspaper. Jay was also the Vice President of Business Development for the Fall River Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. and began their career as a Staff Reporter for the Herald News.

Jay Pateakos earned an Associate degree in English from the University of Southern Maine in 1989-1991. In 1991-1993, they attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and earned a Bachelor's degree in English/Communications. Jay continued their education at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 2018-2021, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
