Anthony McInnis

Anthony McInnis, PhD, currently serves as the City Manager and Director of Development Services for the City of Thompson since December 2017. Prior experience includes consulting in ecological engineering and policy analysis in the extractive and energy industries from 2013 to 2020, and roles at the Government of Manitoba as Acting Manager of Engineering & Technical Services. Anthony's academic career at the University of Vermont spanned from 2005 to 2013, culminating in a position as Assistant Professor, where leadership in environmental research projects, laboratory design, and mentoring were key achievements. Earlier roles included Environmental Analyst at Inco Limited and Aerological Observer at Environment Canada. Academic qualifications consist of a PhD in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont, an MSc in Holistic Science from the University of Plymouth, and a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Manitoba.
