Dan Makridakis

Dan Makridakis is an experienced GIS professional currently serving as a GIS Developer for the City of Thornton, Colorado, since December 2017. Prior to this role, Dan was a GIS Analyst at Digital Data Services, Inc. and at MTC - Massachusetts Broadband Institute, where responsibilities included designing maps, data booklets, and participating in the NTIA State Broadband Initiative submissions. Dan also served as a GIS Technician and Research Assistant at UMass Medical School, contributing to the Older Pedestrian Environment Survey and managing field survey teams. Early career experience includes working as a Land Surveyor at Shea Civil Engineering and Land Surveying. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a focus on Geographic Information Systems from Clark University, earned in 2008.
