Cory Halvorsen currently serves as the Manager of Parks and Open Spaces for the City of Thunder Bay, a position held since April 2009, overseeing various domains including Parks Operations, Forestry and Horticulture, Parks Planning, Golf Operations, and Cemeteries. Prior to this role, Cory was the Supervisor of Design and Field Engineering, focusing on design, tendering, contract administration, and construction services for capital infrastructure projects. Cory began a career at Wardrop Engineering Inc. from July 1999 to April 2009 as a Civil Technologist, initially working as a survey technician and construction inspector before transitioning to design drafting in municipal infrastructure. Educationally, Cory holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from Confederation College, earned between 1996 and 1999.
