Dave Briand

Dave Briand is an experienced civil engineer with a strong background in operations and maintenance, transportation engineering, and project management. Currently serving as the Operations and Maintenance Supervisor for the City of Thunder Bay since June 2022, Dave previously worked as a Transportation Engineer at Stantec and Project Manager/Staff Engineer at Summit Pipeline Services. Additional roles include Field Services Coordinator at K. A. Vanderzwaag Construction Inc., Civil EIT at Hatch, and Civil Technologist in various organizations. An educator, Dave also taught Structural Detailing and Inspection at Confederation College. With a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Lakehead University and a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from Northern College, Dave possesses a comprehensive skill set in design, quality control, and field supervision.
