Guy Walter is a seasoned Landscape Architect currently serving in the Department of Infrastructure and Operations at the City of Thunder Bay since September 2020. In addition to this role, Guy holds the position of Director at urbansurface, an innovative solutions studio, since November 2019. With extensive experience in planning and landscape architecture, Guy has previously served as Principal and Director of Planning & Landscape Architecture for Asia at B+H Architects from January 2013 to November 2019, and as Design Director at IBI Group, where responsibilities included planning and landscape architecture in Asia. Earlier career roles include senior positions at various firms, including Director of Projects at IBI Group in China and Director of Landscape Architecture at UrbanSurface, which was founded on cultural urban space exploration. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Toronto and studies in Architectural Technology at Confederation College and Lakehead University.
