Karie Ortgiese has extensive experience in human resources and corporate safety. Karie currently serves as the Director of Human Resources & Corporate Safety at the City of Thunder Bay since October 2020. Prior to this, they worked as an Employee Relations Manager at St. Joseph's Care Group from April 2014 to October 2020. Karie has also held the position of Human Resources Consultant at the City of Thunder Bay from April 2003 to March 2014.
Karie Ortgiese obtained an Associate's degree in Human Resources Management Diploma from Confederation College, where they studied from 1997 to 2000. Karie later pursued a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and Labour Relations at Athabasca University, completing their education from 2016 to 2018.
