Senior Advisor - Growth at City of Thunder Bay

Matthew Pearson currently serves as a Senior Advisor - Growth and Manager of Central Support in the Infrastructure & Operations department at the City of Thunder Bay, a position held since July 2021. In addition, Matthew is a Board Member of the Ingenuity Advisory Board at Lakehead University and has maintained a role as a Senior Consultant at Shadow Consulting since January 2013. Previously, Matthew held various leadership positions, including Executive - Investment Chair at Thunder Bay Ventures (2017-2022), Executive Committee Member at the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce (2016-2022), Principal and General Manager at River Green (June to November 2020), and President of Engineered Wood of Canada (January to June 2020). As the Owner and President of Sleeping Giant Brewing Company from August 2013 to February 2020, Matthew also served as Vice President of the Thunder Bay Border Cats Baseball team from 2018 to 2020 and a Contract Lecturer in International Business Management at Confederation College from 2018 to 2020. Matthew holds degrees in Social Sciences with a focus on Business/Business History from Western University and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University.
