Amelia Bishop

Amelia Bishop is an experienced housing development professional with a robust background in urban planning and policy advisory roles. Currently serving as a Housing Development Officer at the City of Toronto since August 2020, Amelia has previously worked as a Planning and Policy Advisor to Councillor Josh Matlow and as a Development Manager at Dunpar Homes. Prior positions include Planner/Project Manager at Sterling Group and Urban Planner at KFA Architects and Planners. Amelia’s expertise encompasses managing zoning code applications, analyzing area-specific policies, and utilizing software tools like SketchUP and Excel for site presentations. Additionally, Amelia gained early experience as an intern in the EU Regional Trade Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs, contributing to the Canada-EU Closer Economic Partnership Study and drafting materials for high-ranking officials. Amelia holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning from McGill University and an Honours Bachelor of Social Science in Economics from the University of Ottawa, alongside studies in social science and economics from Sciences Po.
