Ashley Gheerawo

Ashley Gheerawo is an experienced professional in event production and operations, currently serving as Supervisor of Special Events for the City of Toronto since May 2024. Prior to this role, Ashley was the Production & Operations Lead at BuzzFeed, overseeing creative operations and project management from September 2022 to May 2024. Additional experience includes working as Sr. Coordinator for the Toronto International Film Festival, managing logistics and programming, and leading event production and live streaming initiatives at Studio AM. Ashley's background further includes roles at Pride Toronto, YouTube Space Toronto, CBC/Radio-Canada, and the Toronto International Film Festival, showcasing a strong foundation in event coordination, team management, and creative production. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television, as well as in English from Ryerson University, along with a certification in Sport and Event Marketing from George Brown College.
