Matt Keliher

Matt Keliher is an accomplished professional in municipal management and finance, currently serving as the General Manager of Solid Waste Management Services for the City of Toronto since January 2019, and previously as Chief Operating Officer for Development in the same city. Prior to this, Keliher held various roles at Halifax Regional Municipality from September 2003 to January 2019, including Manager of Solid Waste, Senior Consultant in Finance, and Financial Analyst. Keliher possesses an extensive educational background with a Chartered Professional Accountant designation from CPA Canada, a Master's in Professional Studies in Community & Economic Development from Penn State University, an MBA from Saint Mary's University, a Bachelor's in Commerce in Accounting and Finance from Dalhousie University, a Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation from CPHR Canada, and a Certified Management Accountant credential from CMA Nova Scotia.
