Nicholas Westendorf is an experienced public works professional currently serving as the Deputy Public Works Director for the City of Tualatin since June 2018, where responsibilities include managing the City’s Right of Way and implementing electronic permitting software. Prior to this role, Nicholas held the position of ICMA | ELGL Oregon Local Government Fellow with ELGL, focusing on homelessness strategies, and worked as a Broker Associate with RE/MAX, providing residential real estate services. Additionally, Nicholas gained experience as a Community Development Intern for the City of Geneva, Illinois, where responsibilities included preparing reports for various city commissions and managing architectural resource inventories. Nicholas also has retail experience from Best Buy, starting as a Lead Sales Associate and later as a Sales Associate. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from Southern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Northern Illinois University.
