Paul Cunningham

Council Member at City of Tucson

Paul Cunningham has been a Council Member at the City of Tucson since June 2006. Prior to that, they were the Chairman of the Board for TEAM TUCSON, a charity they established to combat teen homelessness. Paul has also been a basketball coach for Sunnyside Unified School District since September 2001, and they have coached the varsity team to a 75% win rate and a team GPA of over 3.0. Cunningham was also a Juvenile Probation Officer for Pima County from February 1998 to May 2010, where they served as a juvenile justice officer, school resource officer, investigator, detention officer, and social worker. Lastly, Cunningham served in the US Army Reserve and National Guard for almost a decade, from December 1992 to October 2001. Paul attained the rank of E-5 and was stationed with the A Company 5th Battalion.10th Infantry, the A Co. 232nd Medical Bat., HQ Co. 8th Bat. 40th Armor, E Troop 1st Bat. 98th Aviation Group, and HQ Co. 1st Squadron 285th Aviation Group.

Paul Cunningham studied history at the University of Arizona before getting their Master of Social Work at Arizona State University.
