Horticulture Technician at City of Urbandale

Allison Bose is a dedicated horticulture technician currently employed by the City of Urbandale since February 2022. Prior to this role, Allison served as the landscape maintenance and lawn care supervisor at Ted Lare Design Build & Garden Center from March 2018 to February 2022, and as the neighborhood revitalization coordinator for Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity for a brief period in 2017. During an AmeriCorps term, Allison worked as the Green Iowa education coordinator and gained experience as a grounds technician at Ames Community Schools in 2016. Additional positions include research assistant at the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communications and internship roles at Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation and Country Landscapes, Inc. Allison earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University and is currently pursuing further education at the University of Montana.
