Michelle Harris

Michelle Harris has extensive experience in solid waste management and environmental engineering. Since 1999, Michelle has worked with the City of Vancouver, progressing through various roles including Manager and Senior Engineer in Solid Waste Programs. Key initiatives include the development of the City’s Zero Waste initiatives and the implementation of programs addressing single-family and multi-family waste management. Prior roles include project management in Active Transportation, focusing on cycling network improvements, and leading the development of Greenways to enhance community connectivity. Michelle's earlier experience includes project engineering at Metro Vancouver, where responsibilities encompassed wastewater treatment planning, and a position at Seacor Environmental Engineering, managing environmental site assessments for a major oil company. Michelle holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph.
