Joaquin Acevedo

Joaquin Acevedo has extensive experience in operational technology and project management, currently serving as the Operational Technology Program Lead for the City of Vancouver since May 2019. In this role, Joaquin leads a team of GIS and data analysts to enhance waste management services and oversees large technology projects to improve operational efficiencies. Previous positions include Senior Project Manager, where Joaquin developed a four-year technology capital plan and implemented various systems, and Capital Business Analyst, leading initiatives to expand programs and improve data accuracy. Prior experience includes consulting for utilities and municipalities at Clevest, supporting academic programs at The University of British Columbia, and significant financial leadership roles at the Alma Mater Society of UBC Vancouver. Joaquin holds a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Systems from the University of British Columbia.
