Samantha Poag

Samantha Poag is an experienced financial professional currently serving as the Interim Budget Analyst and previously as the Library Senior Financial Analyst for the City of Waco, TX, since August 2023. Prior to this role, Samantha worked as an Accounting Technician for the City of San Marcos from August 2022 to July 2023 and completed a Virtual Accounting Internship with Operation Mobilization in late 2022. Education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Texas State University, as well as an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Austin Community College. Additional experiences include roles as a Student Accountant at Texas State University, Accountant at Camp Mah-Kee-Nac, Finance Intern at the City of Round Rock, and various positions in customer service and ministry.
