Matt Francois is a seasoned legal professional and elected official currently serving as a City Councilmember for the City of Walnut Creek since December 2018, having been reelected in November 2022. In this role, Matt Francois collaborates with fellow councilmembers to set city priorities, manage finances, and maintain community safety and resources. As a partner at Rutan & Tucker, LLP since June 2014, Matt Francois specializes in land use and environmental law, representing various stakeholders in the regulatory approval process.
