Bimsara Pathirathna

Bimsara Pathirathna is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at the City of Wanneroo since March 2017. Prior to this role, Bimsara held positions as General Manager Finance at WNS Global Services and Senior Consultant at Synergy. Bimsara's earlier experience includes serving as Financial Controller at AGC Australia, Finance Team Leader at Baker Hughes, Assurance Manager at Ernst & Young Australia, and Assistant Manager at PwC Middle East, where a secondment to Qatar Telecom as a Corporate Accountant was undertaken. Bimsara began a career in finance at PwC Sri Lanka as a Senior Accountant. Educational qualifications include a CPA from CPA Australia, a CA in Accountancy & Financial Management from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, a CIMA in Management Accountancy, and a BSc in Accountancy (Hons) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
