Michele Loftus

Michele Loftus is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communication and outreach. Currently serving as Communications Manager for the City of Washougal since March 2017, Michele has successfully developed and implemented initiatives resulting in improved information dissemination and audience engagement, overseeing significant growth in social media following and website traffic. Prior to this role, Michele worked as Graphic Designer for the City of Allen's Parks & Recreation department, leading creative projects that garnered multiple design awards, and as Marketing Coordinator for The Dallas Arts District, where strategic marketing efforts attracted thousands to cultural events. Michele also contributed as a Communications Specialist for Fort Worth Opera, focusing on digital marketing and audience engagement. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication from the University of Oregon and a BFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas.
