Melissa Lipska is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in parks and forestry management, currently serving as the Parks and Forestry Operations Manager for the City of Waukesha since May 2015, overseeing more than 1,200 acres of park and open space with a dedicated team of over 45 staff members. Previously, Melissa worked as the Buildings & Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for the City of West Bend from October 2008 to May 2015, and as a Landscape Architect at Q. Grady Minor & Associates, P.A. from June 2007 to October 2008. Additional foundational experience includes a role as a Landscape Architectural Intern at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from April 2004 to May 2007 and work as a Laboratory Associate in the Plant Pathology Department, focusing on media preparation and plant RNA and DNA extraction. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earned in 2007.
