Joe Portillo

Joe Portillo is an experienced technician with a diverse background in electrical systems and automation. Currently serving as a SCADA Technician at the City of Weatherford since April 2024, Joe previously held the position of Senior Protection and Control Technician at Vistra Corp. from April 2022 to April 2024. Joe's career also includes extensive experience as a Meter and Relay Technician at Brazos Electric Power Cooperative from October 2008 to April 2022, as well as roles as an Electrician at General Motors and The Washington Post between December 1999 and December 2008. Joe's technical expertise encompasses working with ABB and Fanuc robots, Allen Bradley PLCs, and various other automation technologies. Joe's educational background includes studies at Northern Virginia Community College from 1993 to 1998 and an Electrical Apprenticeship completed from 1990 to 1994.
