John Williams

John Williams is the City Manager for the City of West Linn since January 2017, leading a professional team to enhance community services. Previously, John held several key positions at Metro from January 2008 to January 2017, including Deputy City Manager and Deputy Director of Planning, where responsibilities included overseeing land use, transportation, and community development for the Greater Portland region. John also served as Community Development Director for the City of Canby from 1998 to 2007. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from Lewis & Clark College, a Master of Science in Geology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Tufts University.
