Chris Surawski

Chris Surawski is a seasoned professional in project management with extensive experience in landscape and park construction. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager for the City of West Sacramento since October 2021, Chris previously held the role of Estimator/Project Manager at ABIDE BUILDERS, INC from January to August 2021. With a long tenure at the City of West Sacramento from September 1999 to December 2020, Chris contributed as a Senior Project Manager/Tree Administrator, Project Manager II, and Landscape Construction Inspector, managing capital improvement projects, conducting inspections, overseeing contractors, and maintaining Community Facility Districts. Additional experience includes various roles in park maintenance and management from March 1994 to August 1999 with Sunrise Recreation and Park District, and an earlier position as a Senior Parks and Grounds Maintenance staff member in the City of West Sacramento. Chris's career is supported by a solid educational background including a BS and MS in Recreation Administration/Park Administration from California State University-Sacramento and a Certificate in Construction Management from University Davis Extension.
