Jaipal Chahal

Jaipal Chahal is a seasoned construction and facilities development professional currently serving as the Construction & Facilities Development Manager for the City of West Sacramento since January 2019. In this role, Jaipal leads a diverse team of 13 professionals within the Capital Projects Department, focused on advancing the city’s Capital Improvement Program. Prior to this position, Jaipal held multiple roles at CEMEX from September 2014 to January 2019, including Project Manager II and Regional Area Manager, overseeing operations and initiatives within the ready-mix organization. Additionally, Jaipal worked as a Regional Continuous Improvement Manager, specializing in implementing strategies for enhancing efficiency and productivity across the organization. Earlier experience includes serving as a Project Manager and Project Engineer at VSS International, where Jaipal was instrumental in managing civil contracts and ensuring project completion on-time and within budget. Jaipal Chahal holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from California State University-Sacramento.
