Ryan Calkins

Ryan Calkins is an experienced Energy Solutions Engineer at the City of Westerville since October 2018, focusing on the development and implementation of utility-scale projects and customer-targeted programs utilizing distributed energy resources, including solar and EV charging. Prior to this role, Ryan served as Manager and Senior Energy Engineer at VEIC, overseeing energy efficiency projects in multiple states with significant cost savings for commercial and industrial customers. Previous positions include Lead Energy Engineer at Polaris Automation, Inc., Energy Engineer at DNV GL, and Plant Maintenance Engineer at PPG Industries. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cedarville University, earned in 2008.
