Lindsay Benacka is the Director of Arts and Cultural Services for the City of Wichita, Kansas, since December 2021, leading initiatives to foster a creative community and manage key cultural institutions, including CityArts and the Old Cowtown Museum. Previously, Lindsay served as the interim Executive Director at Botanica and held the position of Arts and Culture Program Manager for the City of Yuma, Arizona, where responsibilities included overseeing multiple art venues. Lindsay's experience includes academic roles as an adjunct professor in art history and fine arts at several institutions, and a history of service as a Peace Corps Volunteer focusing on youth development. Notable achievements include receiving the City Administrator's Employee of the Year Award and being a finalist for the Gabe Zimmerman Public Service Award. Lindsay holds a Master’s degree in Performance Studies with a focus on Arts & Public Policy from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Columbia College Chicago.
